BlueNote Lights for Healthcare

Whether you need a handle that helps you flow patients through the practice better, a view of where doctors need to go next, or a way to manage provider schedules, BlueNote’s grid of flexible communication timers allow you to bend the system to your needs. With the ability to create anything from waiting room queues to room management flags, the virtual nature of software makes sure that everyone in the office can respond instantly from any device on the network.

Because BlueNote Lights is not cloud-based, it will need to be downloaded and installed at each computer where communications are needed. If you are a current customer, you should download using the Customers link above.

Lights are the shared platform from which everyone in the office dives into their own alerts, whether or not they are notifying others, or responding to notifications that are already active. Under the surface you’ll discover Light Actions, which are custom fit to your practice to make Lights relevant and super-responsive.

Color-coded and arranged by provider, this configuration of single-click timers makes it easy for team members to focus on a particular zone on the light panel. While it’s not extremely flexible, it does promote a reliable method for visualizing where staff members are summoned throughout the practice. Four providers and four rooms are represented on this grid of 24 programmed lights.

Time each patient with a Light as they arrive in the waiting room in the first column of the Patient Flow panel. Once a patient has been roomed, the second column is used to summon that patient’s specific provider to the room. Keep track of which patient is next, which ones are ready for checkout, request help with flexible administrative tasks, and manage checkout desks with the use of this two panel system. Up to 30 simultaneous patients may be managed with this configuration, but it can be scaled down if needed.

Designed for clinics which provide therapy for patients on a 30 minute schedule, this example is set up for four providers arranged by appointment time, morning and afternoon, but this can be expanded for up to eight providers very easily. Know when patients have arrived but are waiting outside, when they are in treatment, when there is an open slot, and even if a patient cancellation has occurred.

If team members are constantly on the move, you may need a way to pin tasks specifically for each one. That is the design of this straightforward layout. Each Light is the name of someone in the office. When a name is clicked, a summon (“Come to Station 1”) or a detail (“Phone call”) may be added by the user. This is an extremely flexible framework on which to make sure that each person is able to receive notifications in a timed, precise manner.

Some medical practices do not share much of anything except their space. Each of four doctors in this example has their own waiting room Lights, their own assistants, their own rooms, and all alerts can be completely separated by use of Alert Zones within the Alert Manager. Front office personnel can watch all four panels if needed. This flexible layout can serve many types of practices all at once, while allowing for communication between the doctors when necessary.

Interact with existing BlueNote clients from any device connected to your private network, whether it’s an iPad, a Chromebook, or even a personal phone. Each BlueNote client can activate Remote, allowing a web browser to see up to 30 active lights or interact with a single light as a remote control.
