“…impressive in its minimalism.”
Medical and Dental offices that are using Status to streamline their practice communication love the way it looks and works. It’s quick to set up, easy to navigate, and comfortable to use.

1) The navigation bar offers the ability to toggle between three Status views:
- Home – All locations that are currently running BlueNote Status.
- Status – Only locations with active status messages.
- Favorites – These are the select locations that you have chosen to view apart from the others. If a location is in your Favorites view, you can give it a custom alert tone.
2) Are you open or are you busy? Show that your location is occupied with the Patient icon. All locations that are occupied also have this icon appear alongside their name on the status board.
3) Who left a message for me? Check your Inbox for unread messages at your location. You can also send and receive messages by clicking on the message icon in the navigation bar.
4) DND (Do Not Disturb) is used to prevent communications from interrupting software programs like imaging or other acquisitions. This is also helpful when you don’t want patients seeing alerts, such as when you are showing a case presentation or patient education.
5) What’s your status – do you need assistance now? The Status Bar is the quickest way to set a status at your location. Use a quick key that you’ve already programmed for one-click simplicity or just type a new status. Your status will appear by your location name until it is turned off.
6) Clicking on the name of a location on your status board gives you the ability to interact with that location:
- Type a Message that will go directly to the user of that location.
- Ring the Doorbell to alert of the next patient’s arrival. As an option the patient’s name can also be included.
- A phone call that’s on hold can be passed from one business team member to another with the Phone Call alert.
- Remotely set a status or show that a room is in use with the Patient icon.
- Send out an Urgent Alert for emergencies or unanswered requests.
7) Where are you needed next? Each location’s current status appears beside its name. You’ll also be able to know which statuses have priority. After three minutes a status will begin to show how much time has elapsed since it was set.
8) Locations automatically group by
9) Click on the two arrows to increase or decrease the size of your font in all of the navigation views. The entire window can also be resized from the lower right-hand corner.
”…a workhorse for both small and large practices.”
The size of your practice shapes two things: the way you need to communicate throughout the office, and how BlueNote Status appears. All features are included in every software license so that you can work with the ones that are best for you and your team.
